Accelerating Homegrown IP
The Regional Accelerator and Mentoring Program (RAMP) is the Roanoke region’s premier business accelerator for entrepreneurs working in the technology and life science spaces. RAMP is dedicated to providing visionary entrepreneurs with the practical skills and support they need, no matter where they are in the startup cycle.
A testament to the collaborative innovation ecosystem, RAMP was founded in 2017 with funding from GO Virginia, the City of Roanoke, and Virginia Western Community College. With three levels of support, RAMP is ready to connect tech-based, high-growth potential ideas with regional resources.

Support at Any Stage
RAMP has three levels of programming to guide entrepreneurs through commercialization from idea to market and beyond. Throughout any program, entrepreneurs are welcomed to jump into quarterly Pitch & Polish events to practice and improve their pitches to an audience of mentors and investors.
Ecosystem Navigator
ENP is a 30-minute 1-on-1 session booking for any innovators that would like support in the region. These 1-on-1 meetings are available to get guidance and introductions. Additionally, we can do an Ecosystem Overview presentation of the tech and life sciences resources in the area, as well as a mini workshop on how to craft your 30-second elevator pitch for networking.
On-RAMP
On-RAMP is a pre-accelerator that guides early-stage businesses in the idea phase through what it means to be a founder. Participants explore problems, markets and prepare for RAMP In-Residence.
RAMP In-Residence
The flagship accelerator program, RAMP In-Residence, is designed to give entrepreneurs core business skills, space, mentors, and funding to help launch their company from idea to reality.
Exit Ramp
The post-accelerator Exit RAMP program prepares alumni companies to raise venture capital and angel investment.

Accelerate Big Ideas
From CEOs, CFOs, sales leaders and scientists, RAMP’s network includes mentors, investors, talent, and strategic partners all dedicated to advancing the future of the region. Whether you have a big idea or want to help nurture one, RAMP has opportunities for you.
